What is the latest verified Demo status?
The official itch.io project remains In development and offers Windows and Android downloads. When checked, the project page showed an overall update time of August 25, 2026 at 20:29 UTC — August 26 at 04:29 China Standard Time (UTC+8) and August 25 at 23:29 Moscow time (UTC+3). That page-level timestamp does not by itself prove a new ending or route; the latest visible public devlog is the August 23 save/load and reference-rewrite post below.
The Steam version remains Coming soon. Use the Steam status page for store availability rather than assuming every itch.io update also ships on Steam.
August 23: automatic save/load and sensitive-reference rewrite
The developer announced an automatic save system that lets players load a previous save after finishing the game, making it easier to explore other routes. The same post apologizes for highly sensitive historical references and says those references will be replaced with fictional characters and groups.
The devlog index records the post at August 23, 2026 at 17:49 UTC — August 24 at 01:49 China Standard Time and August 23 at 20:49 Moscow time. The downloadable file on the post is timestamped 17:26 UTC, 23 minutes earlier. We record both because itch.io exposes separate post and file times; the update is still dated August 23 in UTC and Moscow, but August 24 in China.
The note confirms automatic saving/loading and a content rewrite. It does not specify save slots, a manual-save interface, exact checkpoint behavior or a new ending, so those details should not be inferred.
July 12: persistent saves and an exit change
The creator's short-Demo update says save data moved to the Windows Registry. Deleting the extracted game folder therefore may not reset the loop counter or progress. The same note says the player can leave after reaching certain endings.
This is why reset instructions should not tell players to delete random Registry keys. The developer has not published a safe universal reset path on the project page.
July 14: administrator access removed
An official devlog states that the Demo no longer needs administrator access. The update also changed the game's resistance to closing. Current players should use the newest creator download and should not grant elevated access to an older build merely to reproduce a fourth-wall effect.
July 18: language and stability updates
The creator posted a language update and a separate bug-fix entry. The fixes mention dialogue that would not trigger, freezing after a loss and screen-edge flickering. These notes matter when comparing videos: an older recording may show a problem that is no longer present in the current archive.
July 25: localization fixes and an unreleased-route bug
The July 25 notes added or repaired Japanese and Spanish localization. A same-day bug-fix post says players could accidentally enter an unreleased HangOut route and that this access was fixed.
An accidental entrance is not evidence that HangOut was a finished secret route. Guides should not tell current players that the fixed bug is a normal ending.
How should players report a version-specific problem?
- Record the download date and platform.
- Note whether the file came from the official itch.io page.
- Describe the last choice, win/loss totals and visible Mood before the issue.
- Separate a repeatable gameplay bug from browser, antivirus or extraction errors.
- Check the official devlog before following advice from an older video.
For current gameplay routes, use the all-endings walkthrough. For save persistence and exit behavior, use the loops and secrets guide.
